Q.
Why do you make different meals?
A. Variety is important because each
food contains different nutrients.
It's also a much more natural way
for your dog to eat. This
eating program helps even finicky
dogs remain interested in their
meals. After all, variety is
the spice of life!
Q.
Why do you use limited ingredients
in your meals?
A. If your dog is suspected of
having food allergies, offering a
low antigen diet just makes good
sense. It's nearly impossible
to detect what your dog may be
reacting to if you combine an array
of ingredients.
Q.
Why do
you use a variety of
vegetables?
A. Vegetables provide fiber,
vitamins and minerals as well as
antioxidants. We've selected
our vegetables carefully and only
use the freshest produce we can
find. Your dog can enjoy the
additions of carrots, celery, green
beans, sweet potato, potato and squash.
Q.
Why do
you include some grains
in your meals?
A. We've chosen to use a bit of rice
in our meals. Rice does not
contain gluten which is a key point
for dogs that suffer from gluten
allergies.
Q.
Why do
you use different types
of oils?
A. Our meals incorporate Safflower
Oil, Flaxseed Oil and Cod Liver oil
which add the following to your dogs
diet: Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Vitamin
E, Vitamin K, essential fatty acids
Omega 3 and Omega 6, Magnesium,
Potassium, B Vitamins, Protein and
Zinc.
Q.
Why do
you advise against
heating the meals to high
temperatures?
A. Heating the food to a temperature
of more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit
can compromise fragile oils.
Always serve food as close to room
temperature as possible
Q.
How do
I introduce my dog
to a new diet?
A. Most dogs benefit from a slow
dietary change. We suggest you
begin by adding a tablespoon of new
food to the current food. Gradually
increase the "Doggie Diner" portion
while decreasing the existing food
quantity. Your dog should
complete this transition and be
enjoying the new meals over a period
of 5 to 7 days.
Q.
How much food will my dog
need?
A. Your pet is unique and you should
feed according to age, activity level
and metabolism. Monitoring weight is
your best guide.

Q.
What is the texture of the Gourmet
Doggie Diner Meals?
A.
All of the meals as well as the
treats are soft food. Keeping the
food soft makes it much more easily
digestible as a result your dog is
able to utilize more of the
nutrients in the food.
Q.
How do I store the food?
A.
All food must be stored in the
freezer until you are ready to use
it. Once you are ready to begin
feeding your dog, move what you will
be feeding your dog in the next 3-5
days to the refrigerator.
Q.
How long will the food last in the
freezer and refrigerator?
A.
The food will last up to 12 months in
the freezer (storage time may vary
slightly depending on your freezer).
The food will last 3-5 days in the
refrigerator.
Q.
How do you ship the food so it stays
frozen?
A.
All frozen orders are shipped FedEx Next
